- Catacombes de Paris
A number of cemeteries in Paris were relocated due to infection, with their contents being transferred to the catacombs. This "municipal boneyard" is open to the general public.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 am - 5.00 pm (last admission 4.00 pm).

- Musée des égouts de Paris
Visitors can see the city's sewers at this museum deep underneath Paris. Its underground galleries describe the cycle of water in Paris and the work performed by men in the sewers.

Saturday to Wednesday from 11.00 - 4.00 pm from 1.10 to 30.04.

Closed on Thursday and Friday.

- Le cimetière du Père Lachaise
Père Lachaise is a huge cemetery with 44 hectares of trees and flowers, crisscrossed by stairways and green paths lined with shrubs, making it a graveyard like no other.
It is also famed for the historic figures who lie there (Molière, Chopin, Balzac and so on).

Opening hours: Every day from 8.00 am on weekdays and 9.00 at the weekend. Closes between 5.30 - 6.00 pm.

- La grande Arche de la Défense
La Défense is Europe's largest business district. Aligned with the Avenue des Champs Elysées, this enormous arch 110 m in height, which was built to the glory of human rights, offers a view over the whole of Paris. Roof also open to visitors.

Dating from the beginning of the 19th century, these passageways protect the shops inside from the cold and uncertain weather. Paris was the first town to build them...
